LeLuxe Equine: Born from Experience

The foundation of LeLuxe Equine was shaped by three very different horses and the lessons they taught me about the unpredictable nature of horse ownership.

My journey began in 2013 when my mum and I bought my first pony, RS Felledge Izzy. Izzy is a 13.1hh Cob cross—tough, steady, and rarely injured. However, when something does go wrong, it tends to be unexpected and serious. One moment that stayed with me forever was when Izzy caught her eye on barbed wire. While waiting for the vet to arrive, I realized with a sinking heart how unprepared I was; I didn’t have a single piece of equipment to help manage the crisis or safely calm the situation.

In 2019, I bought Comanche, a 17hh Standardbred who couldn’t be more different from Izzy. Sensitive and extremely injury-prone, caring for him brought a constant awareness of how quickly small issues can escalate. I found myself regularly stressed, piecing together supplies from different places and hoping I hadn't missed anything vital.

The final piece of the puzzle arrived in early 2026, when my partner and I rescued RS Pom-Bear from the RSPCA. On the journey home, she panicked in the horsebox, leaving us in an extremely dangerous situation stranded on a main highway. We had to call 999 and wait for the police and a vet to arrive so she could be sedated and moved safely. When we finally got her home, she had several injuries, and once again, I felt that familiar sting of helplessness—we didn't have the right equipment on hand to help her in that critical moment.

LeLuxe Equine was created so that no rider has to feel that way. From freak accidents at home to high-stakes emergencies on the road, our mission is to ensure you always have the right tools to care for your horse safely and confidently.
